Disgestive Enzymes

Digestive Enzymes are essential for healthy digestion. Normally, they are both in our foods and our bodies make them. Unfortunately, most adults don't have enough of enzyme.

We have personally, my husband and I, seen a more dramatic benefit in our health with using added digestive enzyme with our foods, than with any other single supplement.

As we get older, there is a definite decline in the level of digestive enzymes produced in the stomach, pancreas and small intestine, usually after age 30 to 35. The reason for this is not clear, but it is an established medical fact. In addition, the main reason we don't have enough is the kind of food we eat.

Symptoms of digestive enzyme depletion are bloating, belching, gas, bowel disorders, abdominal cramping, heartburn and food allergies, and no fast weight loss.

Our Digestive Enzyme Products:

The IsaLean Shake - which forms the foundation of our Cleaning and Fat Burning System - contains a "Special Delivery System of Specific Digestive Enzymes."

All of us lose our ability to produce concentrated digestive enzymes as we grow older. Digestive Enzymes are naturally present in the raw fruits and vegetables. Cooking and food processing destroy digestive enzymes. As a result, most of the food we eat is digestive enzyme deficient.

The lack of enzyme leads to poor digestion, poor absorption, as well as accumulation of undigested food, material, metabolic waste and putrefied fecal matter in the intestinal tract. This can lead to food allergies, overgrowth of parasites, yeast and unfriendly bacteria, indigestion, constipation, belching, bloating and many other health problems.

As the digestive process deteriorates further, you may notice decreased energy, headaches, fatigue, general malaise and reduced resistance to infections.

The more food that you can eat raw, the better.

If you do cook your food, the best way to cook food is to lightly steam, stew, or use a slow crock cooker. Eat as few over-processed and over-cooked foods as possible, they contain more digestive enzyme. The body has a difficult time digesting fried, pasteurized, barbecued, dried, and other over-processed and over-cooked foods that you find in boxed and processed foods.

I would encourage you to consume at least 50% of your food as uncooked. Try juicing. Enjoy salads.

What I understand, from reading about enzymes in food, you only get enough digestive enzymes in raw, fresh food to digest the food itself. That would be fine if all we ate was raw, fresh food. However, there are no digestive enzymes left over to replace the ones we miss every time we choose fast food, cooked food, and fried foods. All these reduce any chance for fast weight loss. The body makes the necessary digestive enzymes in the pancreas, but at a reduced rate as we age.
